Inhaler: Each actuation delivers Salbutamol BP 100 µg suspended in propellant HFA-134a up to the required volume.
Pharmacology
Bexilin contains salbutamol, a selective beta2-agonist that is chemically related to isoprenaline. It is not metabolised by COMT and monoamine oxidase, therefore the action of the drug lasts longer than isoprenaline. It acts by stimulating the beta2-receptor cells of the smooth muscles in the bronchioles and uterus.
It has minimal cardiac stimulant effect and does not cause hypertension.
