  • Sitagliptin (50 mg): a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases insulin release and decreases glucagon levels in the blood.
  • Metformin (500 mg or 1000 mg): a biguanide that reduces glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity.

  • Typical Starting Dose: 1 tablet twice daily with meals.
